. Our 2022 season began on July 22nd and will run until August 14th. DS Skibladner or Mjøsas Hvite Svane as it is also called is the worlds oldest operative wheelbarrow in regular traffic and was built in the period 1854-1856. We are now open for bookings.

The charming historic paddle steamer Skibladner is one of Norways best-loved attractions just a couple of hours drive north of Oslo. Skibladner is now primarily a tourist ship. Book your tickets here.

She is the worlds oldest paddle steamer still in timetabled operation having sailed for over 166 years. The ship was built for passenger and freight traffic on Norways largest lake Mjøsa. Skibladners early years coincided with Norways budding industrial revolution.

We sail between the ports of Gjøvik Hamar Brumunddal Moelv Lillehammer Evjua and Kapp. Skibladners southernmost port Eidsvoll was and is a connection point to Norways first stretch of railway. The railway opened in 1854.
